Description The Special Messages Peer Support Group challenges the mainstream view of “psychosis” with the concept of “Special Messages,” and seeks to engage isolated individuals who experience limited community participation. Group members learn how to support their own wellness and the wellness of their peers by identifying trauma and negative thoughts, and increasing self-acceptance.

We are currently in the process of being affiliated with the Bay Area Hearing Voices Network (BAHVN).

The Support Group is free, fun, and easily accessible to those who travel BART or live in East Oakland. Come check us out!

  • Give back by participating in Café chores, e.g., cleaning, serving meals, throwing our garbage, etc.
